OUR IMPACT ON GHANA'S INDUSTRIALIZATION

Ghana National Gas Company(GNGC) is the leading gas company in Ghana. Ghana gas is responsible for gathering, processing, marketing and transportation of natural gas resources.

Ghana gas has played a significant role in industrialization in Ghana. Ghana gas produces natural gas and gas based resources for domestic, commercial and industrial use. Ghana gas has played a significant role in Ghana’s economy by saving Ghana millions of cedis and contributing to country’s power generation.

Ghana contributes up to 50% of the Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) consumed in the country. Ghana gas produces LPG which is transported to various off takers to be distributed and sold to the end user. The LPG is therefore used by about 90% of Ghanaians for cooking and other domestic purposes.

Twyford a ceramic company in Ghana currently depends on gas from Ghana gas for industrial use. The gas aids in the manufacturing of ceramic tiles both wall and floor for commercial use.

The gas is used to power various industrial machines used in the ceramic production and also to heat up the tiles being produced. Ghana gas in addition supplies gas to Wangkang Company limited a ceramic producing company to power their industrial machines for production.

Volta River Authority(VRA) Ghana’s power distribution company is supplied with gas from Ghana gas. Gas is transported through the pipelines to VRA and then used to generate power for the country. This gas power generation has helped reduce the “dumsor” in the country and contributed tremendously to Ghana’s power generation.
